Building Your Own Home

1. Money. How much house can you afford? How much do you want your monthly payments to be? How soon do you want to pay off your house? These are huge questions to determine your course.

You can do a lot of investigative work through the internet. Go to our free mortgage calculator. It can help you determine the answers to the questions above. Plug in the amount you think you want to borrow. Choose your interest rate. Then decide how many years you want to make payments. Use this tool to help you determine your goals!

2. Budget. You need to become familiar with how to merge your desires with your budget or your dream could turn into a nightmare. We'll go over cost per square foot to build your home. This will help you set a budget to get the most from your choices.

3. Loan Process. Most of us will have to borrow the money to build our future. There are many different avenues you can take. Learn more about a home construction loan here.

3. Building Costs. Building cost vary considerabily depending on location, design, quality and size of the home.
